Haul: Wonderstruck Perfume Knockoffs

I popped into Big Lots last week and noticed they had a wide range of new knock-off perfumes available. Up until last year, I refused to purchase knock-off perfumes ... but I tried the knock-off Sarah Jessica Parker perfume and was astonished as to how much it smelled like the original. Since then I've given knock-off perfumes a sniff when I've spotted them in stores.

I've wanted the Taylor Swift perfume for a while now. Last Christmas I purchased the 0.5 fl oz gift set at CVS and have been using it as sparingly as possible.  Then when Taylor Swift released Wonderstruck Enchanted I was in love with that and wanted that.  So when I spotted these two knock-offs at Big Lots, I gave them a whirl and I was truly surprised with how much they smell like the originals. So for $3.50/ea I picked them up.  I'm on a bit of a budget right now and spending $100+ on perfumes for myself isn't in the books ... so $7 for two for the moment is doable.

QUESTION:
Have you smelled any knock-off perfumes lately that you were surprised smelled so much like the originals?

Shannon's Combined Beauty Essentials Haul

This is my combined haul from three separate stores -- Walmart, KMart and Big Lots.  I attended a trade show nearly two weeks ago and tried out this Dial lotion there and instantly fell in love.  My hands have been shot for the past 6-months (we have hard water at work, plus I work with a lot of paper, etc.).  It smelled fabulous and instantly hydrated my hands.  One thing I liked was that it went on smoothly, like water, and left no greasy residue.  I immediately went on a hunt to different stores to find it -- couldn't find it anywhere and when I nearly spent $12 for it on Amazon I checked Walmarts website and saw it was sold there!  The other two items are a product of walking around the store and seeing things.  Lately, my body chemistry has been changing, where my body is straight up rejecting some deodorants (I honestly think I've been using some brands too long) so I've been finding clinical strength deodorant has been doing the trick.  I then saw the body wipes in the check-out line at Kmart and grabbed them because when I go for a walk at work and come back, I sometimes wouldn't mind wiping down my arms or back after a vigorous walk - so yay for body wipes!

Here's what I picked up:

-Dial NutriSkin Replenishing Lotion - Shea
-Degree Clinical Protection Deodorant
-Playtex Sport Body Wipes - Travel Size

Big Lots haul!

I popped into Big Lots last week to get some water flavoring packets and of course picked up a few things up.  Browsing the beauty aisle I grabbed the Green Tea cleansing towels that I have seen time and time again but just have never purchased.  I have used these since purchasing and I can say these are pretty stand-up wipes.  I don't usually like face wipes because they tend to leave a "film" on my face, where I feel I have to go and splash water on it, but with these it feels very soft and clean.  As I use them more I'll get a true feeling for how much I like them.  I then grabbed a hair drying cap because I thought it was the wraps -- but I was wrong.  This is literally a cap, that you put your hair in after you've squeezed the water out into a towel and it absorbs excess water.  It's not what I expected it to be and I wished I didn't purchase it because it's just an extra (unnecessary) step.  I then grabbed a mock-Rocawear cologne for my boyfriend.  He drives me crazy leaving the expensive cologne I buy him in the car (he's a smoker) so I told him bring the expensive cologne in the house and if you want to smell decent for strangers, spray on this stuff LOL.  I did smell it before I purchased it, and it does smell pretty good so it's okay in my book.  I then grabbed a Maybelline lipstick in Must Have Mauve (which I think is still in stores?) for $3.  The color wears a lot brighter on my lips than it is when you wipe it off onto a tissue.  Hmph.

Big Lots haul

This is a relatively overdue Big Lots haul.  I had popped into Big Lots to browse around one day and ended up picking up some goodies in the beauty aisle (as per the norm).  I was pretty happy to see they had some of the large bottles of Aussie volumising shampoo which is my go-to shampoo at the moment.  Unfortunately they did not have the conditioner so I'm going to have to make a run for Target/Wal-Mart to pick it up since the bottle I'm currently using is just about emptied.  The only product I have not used yet is the mud mask since it was a relatively impulsive purchase.

Here's what I picked up:

- Aussie Aussome Volume shampoo
- Listerine Whitening Mouth Wash
- St. Ives - Intensive Healing lotion
- Mud Mask with Dead Sea Minerals

Big Lots: Revlon Nail Polish Haul

Health & Beauty » Big Lots: Revlon Nail Polish Haul

This here is an over due haul from Big Lots! I popped into Big Lots randomly a number of weeks back and struck gold in the beauty department. In case you are not aware, Big Lots stocks 2-packs of Revlon nail polish for $2.00 a pack -- making each individual polish $1/each. Generally when I have gone to Big Lots they tend to have the same run of the mill polishes in stock. But this time they had a whole slew of new ones and for some reason this Scented "Fizz" line totally caught my eye and I snagged the packs with all the different shades. I felt they were beautiful and totally summer/spring appropriate. I then spotted a pack of Top Speed polishes -- the shade Mistletoe being one of the shades I REALLY wanted around Christmas time because it was just so unique and different -- but I refused to pay nearly $9 for it in CVS -- but I got it now and for a whole $1!

Here's what I picked up:
- Colada Fizz
- Mint Fizz
- Watermelon Fizz
- Apple-tini Fizz
- Grapefruit Fizz
- Grape Fizz
- Pineapple Fizz
- Orange Fizz
- Mistletoe
- Decadem

Overdue Big Lots Haul!

This is a haul I feel I did forever ago.  Probably a month ago or so?  I’ve been meaning to post it but I just haven’t had the real time to sit and write a post.  Yeah, excuses, excuses.  Anyway.  I popped into Big Lots to get some of the Philosophy products Big Lots was selling not too long ago.  My store didn’t have as large of a selection of items as other stores seemed to receive.  Mine had two small displays at two side caps and that was all the items they carried (both were mirror images of one another).  No eye shadow sets, no nothing which is a bummer because that’s what I really wanted – well that and some blush.  But other than that I am happy with the items I purchased.  I love Big Lots because I can find some great deals there at times – whereas other times you need to be conscious of your prices or you’re going to flat out spend too much.

You’ll notice I picked up a knock off perfume.  I used to never do that, but I found some of the perfumes they sell at Big Lots smell pretty dead ringer for the real thing.  I love the Coach scent, but haven’t splurged as of yet to get a bottle and with this I don’t have to.

Here’s what I picked up:

-          St. Ives Fresh Skin – Moisturizing Olive Cleanser
-          Vaseline Clinical Therapy lotion
-          Touch perfume (a knock off to Coach’s perfume)
-          Philosophy – Shimmering Face Powder
-          Philosophy – Mineral Blush Duo
-          Philosophy – Angel Kiss Lip Gloss
-          Revlon Nail Enamel – Midnight Affair (791)
-          Revlon Nail Enamel – Kiss Me Coral (474)
-          Revlon Nail Enamel – Jaded Night
-          Revlon Nail Enamel – Alluring Amber

SPOTTED @ Big Lots: Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kit

I went to Big Lots yesterday really only to pick up some headphones that my boyfriend wanted, but of course, I started looking around. I'll get around to posting my haul at some point. Anyway! While in the beauty section I noticed this display, up on the top shelf of the Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kits! The greatest part? They are ONLY $6.50!
I currently own a Nail Express stamping kit and picked it up for $10 at CVS (which was technically free after ECB's) but it's a great savings for anyone who wanted a stamping kit and hasn't picked one up yet. My local store had a pretty large display which wasn't really touched.

The Salon Express stamping kit aids in creating designs on your fingernails, which can transform your manicure into something you would get at a nail salon. It's all DIY, so you can get as creative with your designs as you want. I will say this though, if you want to get your hands on one of these for this price, I'd suggest popping into your local Big Lots and seeing if they have one and picking it up if you want one. I can't say I've seen this kit this low anywhere (and trust me, I get around in the shopping world LOL).

QUESTIONS:

-Do you own a nail stamping kit? If not, will you be heading out to try to pick one up?
-Do you shop at Big Lots periodically?

Images are mine do not take or use. Thank you.
