$4/ea OPI Nail Polish Haul

I had gone to the mall with no intentions to be purchasing nail polish.  But I made the mistake of entering the mall through JC Penney -- and I made the even bigger mistake of entering the door into JC Penney near the salon.  I popped into the salon and glanced around, didn't notice anything until I turned to leave and I spotted the clearanced nail polish on the counter -- all $4/ea.  So immediately I honed in on one shade because it'd been a shade I had wanted for a while from the OPI Holland Collection.  I snatched it up and then glanced through the remaining polishes and ended up settling with two additional from the Superman Collection.  I ended up paying $12 for all of them which I feel was a great price.  If you aren't aware, new nail polishes are $8/ea when they come into JC Penney and after a while they (for the most part) because a 2 for $6 deal and after a while the shades from individual collections go on clearance for $2-4.

Here's what I picked up:

- OPI - I Have a Herring Problem
- OPI - Number One Nemesis
- OPI - Into The Night

Haul: Skechers Bikers Vamped Womens Clogs Sneakers

I went to JC Penney this weekend to look for a new pair of earrings and I ended up in the shoe department because I walked by a display that said "Clearance $10." Of course that sucked me in immediately and I was browsing the 6 rows of clearanced shoes. Unfortunately JC Penney doesn't usually carry very many shoes for myself since I do have a large foot (size 11-12 dependent upon the shoe). As I got to the last shelf, I noticed a size 11 so I picked up the box and saw it was a pair of Skechers which were the backless slip on sneaker. I tried them on and they fit -- I would prefer them a half size larger just for room/comfort but they fit nicely. The girl that was working in the shoe department said she had a few pair because they are so comfortable. Since I have issues with my feet, I tend to try to wear sneakers as much as possible because they are the most comfortable. Sneakers are not always the most business forward type of wear so I figured having a pair that were thinner and less "look at me I'm wearing sneakers!" (as my Nike's scream lol) that they'd be more business appropriate. I've never work Skechers before -- I tend to be a Nike girl, so fingers crossed these do well on my feet.

If you are interested in this particular pair, they are the Skechers Bikers Vamped Womens Clogs Sneakers, Style: Natural. I got these for $24 on clearance at JC Penney's which is less than half (I want to say it was a 70% discount) because the price for these online without a sale are around $60.

FREEBIE: Mini OPI Nail Polish @ JC Penney!

I received this mini (3.75mL) OPI Nail Lacquer from JC Penney's salon for FREE! How did I get this for free? Well, I received a text message earlier in the month that read: Visit the nearest JCP salon and May and receive a complimentary quick hair touch up and an OPI nail polish.

Since I was running errands at the mall with my boyfriend this past weekend, I decided to pop on into JC Penney to see what they were giving out. The associate behind the counter didn't even speak of the complimentary hair touch up, she simply asked me what nail polish I wanted. I asked her what colors they had and she gave me the choice of Strawberry Margarita (which is what is pictured and what I chose - a gorgeous vibrant pink shade) or I'm Really Not a Waitress (which if you are familiar with OPI shades, it's a bright red shade which you would assume a waitress would wear).

It's definitely not a bad freebie if you have to go to the mall for other items. But I would not suggest making a special trip just for a mini nail polish.
