REVIEW: Purederm Botanical Choice Intense Repair Foot Mask - Avocado

A number of weeks back I won a Facebook giveaway from Stephs Beauty. That giveaway consisted of masks (facial & feet). I was finally able to get around to using the Purederm Botanical Choice Intense Repair Foot Mask - Avocado yesterday and I will say I really enjoyed the end result. It completely moisturized my feet (since working out so hard at the gym, my feet have been getting a little rough around the edges) and they are SO soft and moisturized after this treatment that I think I’m in love. With the product, not with my feet … I don’t really like feet, but that’s beside the point!

You’re probably asking what is this exactly? Well, it’s a moisturizing mask for your feet which is supposed to treat even the roughest, driest feet. According to the package: ”With highly emollient Shea Butter, rich Avocado Oil, Camellia Japonica Oil, Opuntia Tuna Extra, and other natural healing ingredients, Purederm Botanical Choice Intensive Repair Foot Mask “Avocado” noticeably smoothes, softens and repairs dry, cracked, calloused feet & heels, significantly improving the look and feel of even the driest feet. This newly designed “sheet-type” foot mask delivers effective moisturizers & healing agents to your damaged skin for smoother, healthier, and more radian appearance.”

The Purederm Botanical Choice Intense Repair Foot Mask - Avocado comes complete with a pair of foot moisturizers, vinyl socks and seal tape. The idea being you wash your feet, put the moisturizing bag on and lock the moisture in with the vinyl sock, sealing it on with the provided tape.

The directions state:
1) Wash your feet with warm water.
2) Open the pocket and wear foot masks.
3) Wear vinyl socks over foot masks. Fix vinyl socks to the ankle with enclosed bands.
4) After 20-30 minutes, put off the vinyl socks and foot masks. You do not need to wash the feet again.

I put these on in the bathroom, standing on one foot in the tub. I will say though, it’s easiest to put these on with the help of another individual. Your hands tend to get slick from touching the moisturizing “sock” and then ripping the other end open becomes a slipping contest. I learned how difficult it was to open the bag as my hands were slippery and had to call for my boyfriend (otherwise, I foresaw myself taking a tumble hopping around). Once your hands are also slick it makes ripping open the other end of the bag a fun experience. Now if you wanted to do this on your own, make SURE you have a hand towel handy and possibly even a pair of scissors to open the ends of the bags. Also if you are doing this in any area where you are NOT going to be sitting for the 20-30 minutes, do take care when walking to that room. Since you are walking with your feet in vinyl bags it makes the floor beneath you slippery. I had to walk like a baby learning to walk to the bedroom to not slip and hurt myself.

I kept these on for 30 minutes while watching a movie and after removing and wiping some of the excess moisture off with a tissue I could IMMEDIATELY notice the difference in how soft my feet were. Now my feet weren’t crazy hard, but they were getting beat up from constant gym activity, even now, a day after using them my feet are still very soft and moisturized. I REALLY love this product and hope to get my hands on some more!
